School Performance Report
Madrona K-8 school fosters continuous student progress in a multi-age structure where students, teachers, and families are able to build positive relationships over multiple years. The multi-age approach provides staff with the opportunity to deepen the understanding and knowledge of each student as a whole and unique individual.

About our Building
Edmonds School District replaced the previous Madrona School, thanks to a 2014 voter-approved Capital Construction Bond, additional revenue from the sale and/or lease of District property and approval from the School Board. Madrona K-8’s new building opened January of 2019.
Square footage: The new facility is approximately 80,000 square feet with five new buildings for classrooms and one for the entry, administration, gym, cafeteria, kitchen, library, and the school’s music and science programs.
Madrona K-8 Construction Project
Our mission is to advocate for each and every student by providing learning environments that embrace their cultural and linguistic diversity as an asset that will prepare them for success as lifelong learners and responsible world citizens.
Invitation to Participate
We embrace reciprocal partnerships with our families to meet them where they are and honor and respect their cultural and lived experiences. One of our strategic goals is to communicate and partner with families and community members so they understand their role in supporting the students in our district.
